Copper Sealant

For pipes and other plumbing products, Coretrate™ copper coating offers a wide variety of significant benefits.

As a copper sealant, Coretrate penetrates into copper up to 30% and chemically binds with the many free ions to fill in the voids between molecules and create a smoother surface, thus preventing access by corrosive materials.

Coretrate also hardens copper to help prevent against wear and abrasive damage. In addition, Coretrate creates lubricity within copper to reduce friction. Plus, Coretrate itself has a very high friction co-efficient and is twice as slippery as Teflon™.

As a result, liquids flowing through copper pipes coated with Coretrate meet with much less resistance so smaller pipes can now move the same amount of fluids as larger, untreated pipes.

And because as a pipe sealant, Coretrate bonds completely with copper, there is no leaching of any kind to protect drinking water in plumbing.
