Aluminum Sealant
For engines, aircraft, siding, signage, and other aluminum products, Coretrate™ aluminum coating offers a wide variety of significant benefits.
As an aluminum sealant, Coretrate™ penetrates into aluminum up to 30% and chemically binds with the many free ions to fill in the voids between molecules and create a smoother surface, thus preventing access by corrosive agents.
Coretrate™ also hardens aluminum to help prevent against wear and abrasive damage. Certain Coretrate™ formulas also provide high reflectivity (surface sheen) that beautifies the substrate to which it is applied. For aluminum used in moving parts, Coretrate™ creates lubricity within the metal to reduce friction. In addition, Cortrate™ itself has a very high friction co-efficient and is twice as slippery as Teflon™.
For aluminum canister and beverage manufacturers, Coretrate™ bonds completely to the metal so it doesn’t leach into beverages like an ordinary coating can.
